call it gay hugging….styl dont see that as a method of tackling a guy from behind…i would use metal pipe personally
March 10th, 2010 on 1:32 am
(continued) although this type of bear hug is below the arms, so that leaves for easy striking.

you’ve never heard of bear hugs? It’s used to restrain someone, probably a set up for a take down or so you can’t move while another dude beats the shit out of you.

Corpsmen train with marines because there will always be corpsmen attached to a combat unit. While MCMAP is not mandatory for a corpsman to participate in, it is one of those things that might save their life or someone else’s. If they elect to continue their training, they can receive the same training as a Marine Martial arts instructor trainer. It doesnt matter what branch you are in when you start MCMAP training, you learn the Marine Corps way. There are several MAIT who are corpsmen

how come corpsmen ar superior @ hand 2 hand? i seen Marine vs Corpsman & the Corpsman won 9/10. Is it the joint training?

@slipper329
If your reasons to fight are “honour and glory” then you have no idea what you’re getting into. This is real life, not the movies. Glory seekers are unwelcome in the military and they only endanger others around them. My friend, you have a bright future ahead of you, but join the fight to protect the people and your comrades, to fight injustice. Even if it means sacrificing honor and glory. Good luck on your journey and I hope you learn before it’s too late.

I would like to see you say that to a marine. keep saying stuff like that and you may end up dead. Marines don’t like killing, but they will if the time calls for it.
March 10th, 2010 on 11:34 am
LOL American Marines can’t fight for shit.

i have two friends who are active marines and i’ve sparred with them. they are tough and they dont tap. only reason i beat them is because i got way more years of experience in hand to hand fighting. they are great fighters though.

Seph and Slipper, give it a rest. I applaud you Slipper for wanting to go Army, I have family in the Army. Just know 3 things. 1, the terms Soldier and Marine are two completely different things and those not in the military will tell you such. 2nd, fight for to protect the people here at home. 3rd, to kill may be glorious but don’t let it go to your head. The enemy is human like you and treat him with respect. Be a warrior, but be a great warrior and not a slimy one who takes pride in death.
